UTM builder + QR
Build a link that tells your analytics where a visitor came from — source, medium, campaign — without typos, with the naming rules that keep reports clean. Then take the QR code for the poster, the flyer or the slide, straight from here.
How it works
- Paste the page you are sending people to, pick a preset (Facebook post, newsletter, LinkedIn, Google Ads, QR on print) or fill in source, medium and campaign yourself.
- The link is built as you type. Spaces become underscores and everything is lowercased, because "Newsletter" and "newsletter" are two different rows in Google Analytics.
- Copy the link, or download the QR code for it — it encodes the tagged link, so scans show up in your analytics as the campaign you named.
- Save the combination as a template; it stays in this browser so the next campaign uses the same names.
Questions people ask
What do source, medium and campaign mean?
Source is where the link sits (facebook, newsletter, partner-site). Medium is the kind of channel (social, email, cpc, qr, referral). Campaign is the name of the push (spring_launch, black_friday_2026). Term and content are optional: term for the paid keyword, content to tell two links in the same place apart (button vs. text link).
Why lowercase?
Analytics tools treat "Email" and "email" as different sources. One convention — lowercase, underscores — and the reports stay in one row.
Does the QR code track scans?
The QR encodes the tagged link, so every scan that opens the page is counted in your analytics under that source, medium and campaign (use medium "qr"). There is no redirect through us and no separate scan counter — the code works forever and needs no account.
Will UTM tags hurt SEO?
Not when they are used for campaigns. Do not put them on internal links (they reset the session) and let your canonical tag point to the clean URL.
Where are the templates saved?
In this browser only (local storage). Nothing is sent to us; clearing the browser data clears them.
