What is really happening with software deals
These numbers do not come from a survey or an estimate. They come from daily checks of every product in our catalog. They update themselves; today is 6.9.2026.
Lifetime deals
We do not yet have enough lifetime deals for a meaningful number. The word "lifetime" in this industry means for the life of the product, not for yours — and that difference only shows up after years.
Fake urgency
Nobody has moved their deal deadline yet. We will see how long that lasts.
Survival by category
What percentage of products in each category still respond to our checks.

How we arrived at this
We check every product in the catalog once a day: whether the site responds, how fast, whether the certificate is valid and whether the page content changed. Five consecutive failed checks means "unavailable". Prices and deadlines are recorded on every edit of a product by its author.
Limitations worth taking seriously: we measure from a single location and only once a day, so short outages go unnoticed. The catalog is not a representative sample of the market — it contains the products somebody added here. And a site that does not respond does not necessarily mean a dead company.
