How it works
- Pick what the code should open, fill in the fields, and the code redraws as you type.
- Change the colours, choose the error-correction level and drop a logo on it — with a logo the level goes to H automatically, so a quarter of the code can be covered and it still scans.
- Download it as PNG (512 to 2048 px, for print and social) or as SVG (for designers and any size).
- The content is encoded directly into the code — there is no redirect through us, so the code works forever and we never see who scans it. For a link you can track, build it with the UTM builder first.
Questions people ask
Does the code expire?
No. The text or link is inside the code itself; nothing is stored here and nothing is redirected. It will scan for as long as the link it points to exists.
How big should I print it?
A rule of thumb: the scanning distance divided by 10. A code scanned from 20 cm (a flyer) needs 2 cm; from 2 metres (a poster) 20 cm. Keep the quiet zone — the white margin — around it.
Can I put a logo on it?
Yes. The tool switches to error-correction level H, which lets about 30 % of the modules be covered. Keep the logo at the default size and test with two phones before printing a thousand of them.
Which colours work?
Dark on light with strong contrast. Scanners look for dark modules on a light background — an inverted code (light on dark) fails on many phones, and pastel-on-white does too. The tool warns when the contrast is low.
Is the text sent anywhere?
Only to our server, which encodes it and returns the pattern; it is not logged and not stored. Wi-Fi passwords and contact details never go to a third party.
PNG or SVG?
PNG for anything that takes an image: social posts, Word, slides, print shops that ask for 300 dpi (download the 2048 px one). SVG for designers, Illustrator, Figma and anything that will be resized.
